Start 2025 with some uplifting baroque music!  Victoria Conservatory alumnus Marc Destrubé once again leads the Pacific Baroque Festival Ensemble and four emerging singers in this popular New Year’s event. A highlight of the program will be a performance of Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s imaginative and wonderful “Messe du Minuit pour Noël” written in 1694 based on the melodies of ten French Christmas carols.

Isolde Welby (soprano), Olivia Duffin (alto), Tim Carter (tenor), Jordan Rettich (baritone), Marc Destrubé, Kathryn Wiebe (baroque violin), Joanna Hood (baroque viola), Natalie Mackie (viola da gamba), Christina Hutten, Mark McDonald (organ)

Admission by donation. All donations directly support this event.

Old Music for the New Year is co-hosted by the Victoria Conservatory of Music’s Pacific Baroque Festival and Christ Church Cathedral.
